Hyderabad: ASSOCHAM The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India gives away awards to various organisations, individuals, NGOs and states for excellence in skill development each year in recognition of their contribution in the field of skill development.
Telangana State skill development mission (TSSDM) nodal agency for skill development in the state of newly formed state of Telangana has bagged the prestigious award in the category ” Best State in Skill development”. TSSDM gets silver statue after being adjudged the second best after Rajasthan state lively-hoods and skill development mission.
The award is in recognition of the efforts of the state to bring into focus the need to take up skilling and the build the institutional mechanism to take up skilling on large scale. Skill mission has been largely able to bring in uniformity in skilling processes and put in place best practices by leveraging IT to monitor the entire process. This has been the model for replication all across the country.
K. Madhukar Babu Executive Director EGMM has received this award on behalf of TSSDM in a ceremony held in Hotel Shang ri La in New Delhi on March 15. The awards was given away by Rajiv Pratap Rudy , Minister for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Government of India. (NSS)
