Minister Ponnala Lakshmaiah today said that Telangana statehood will soon be a reality as per constitutional norms. Addressing a media conference at CLP here he said that no any force can stall the bifurcation process. He alleged that Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and Seemandhra leaders are playing selfish tactics ignoring the plight of their new capital. He flayed their propaganda that the decision of Telangana is against democracy and constitution.
Ponnala rubbished that the division of the state is unilateral. Lakshmaih criticized that it is foolish to argue that unanimity is needed for Telangana formation. He sought to know whether unanimity is not needed to stay together. He attributed that many Telangana irrigation projects left incomplete due to step motherly attitude of Seemandhra rulers. He found fault with Seemandhra leaders for claiming that they have developed Hyderabad. The people of the region are observing the TD, YSR Congress Party adopting double standards on bifurcation, he said.
While parched lands Agriculture lands are there in Telangana region due to non supply of irrigation waters, other regions are getting adequate waters, he alleged.
