T State celebrates Dr Ambedkar Jayanthi; leaders from all parties offer floral tributes

Telangana State on Thursday saluted Architect of Indian Constitution Dr Ambedkar on the occasion of his 125th Birth Anniversary. In the capital city of Hyderabad, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao visited Dr Ambedkar statue at Tank Bund and offered floral tributes.

Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari,  Nizamabad MP Kalvakuntla Kavitha, V. Hanumatha Rao, MP, power minister Jagadish Reddy, TPCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy, CLP leader K Jana Reddy,  and Ponnala Lakshmaiah, TDP-TS president L Ramana, Revanth Reddy, Mothkupally Narsimhulu, Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy also offered floral tributes to Messaiah of Dalits among a large number of leaders. A large number of Ambedkarites thronged the Tank Bund and offered floral tributes to Father of the Constitution.

Assembly Speaker S Madhusudana Chary, Council Chairman K. Swamy Goud, Deputy Chief Minister Mahmood Ali, Government Chief Whip Koppula Eshwar, legislators offered floral tributes to Ambedkar at his statue on the Assembly premises. Speaking on the occasion, all the leaders recalled the services of Dr Ambedkar to the nation and people of the country.

On the occasion, all the districts wore festive look with decorations with flowers and flags. While the Union Government has declared a national holiday for government offices, political leaders of all parties paid respects to him at various places. The KCR Government made special arrangements to celebrate the occasion on a grand scale across the State.

In Medak district, Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao garlanded the statue of Dr Ambedkar at the Sangareddy bus-stand crossroads and paid tributes. MP B B Patil, MLA Chinta Prabhakar, Zilla Parishad chairman Rajamani Murali Yadav, district Collector Ronald Ross and others were present. Assembly Deputy Speaker Padma Devendar Reddy offered floral  tributes to Dr Ambedkar in the Medak district headquarters.

Finance Minister Etela Rajendar offered floral tributes to Dr Ambedkar statue at Huzurabad crossroads in Karimnagar district and recalled his services to the oppressed and depressed people of the country. In Adilabad district headquarters, Forest Minister Jogu Ramanna garlanded the statue of Dr Babasaheb in the town. Dr Ambedkar Jayanthi celebrations were organized at Malapally under Vemnuru mandal in Khammam district. Roads & Buildings Minister Tummala Nageshwara Rao participated in the function and paid floral tributes to Dr Ambedkar.   In Mahbubnagar district, Health Minister Cherlakola Lakshma Reddy garlanded the statue of Dr Ambedkar at Burugupally under Jadcherla mandal and paid rich tributes. Speaking on the occasion, Lakshma Reddy said the TRS government was committed for the welfare of downtrodden sections in the society as dreamt by the father of the Constitution. (NSS)
