AICC general secretary in-charge of AP Affairs Digvijay Singh here on Tuesday exuded confidence that Andhra Pradesh will be bifurcated to carve out Telangana State before the ensuing general elections.
Speaking to the media, the AICC leader suggested to the Seemandhra legislators to participate in the debate in the Assembly and air their views freely on the bifurcation of the State, instead of filing affidavits. Digvijay Singh said the AP Reorganisation Bill 2013 widely known as Telangana Bill will get parliamentary seal in a special session to be called for the purpose.
Responding to a question, the AICC leader said as Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy was a cricketer, he knows better when he would face the “last ball”. Digvijay also said there was no relation to formation of Telangana State and merger of Telangana Rashtra Samithi into the Congress party. He also said they would not mix administration with politics.
Stating that all political parties in the State had taken a favourable decision towards Telangana issue, he said it was not proper for some of them to take a U turn on the issue. (NSS)
