T state in 15 Days; Dy CM Taunts Kiran

Stating that Telangana State is just two weeks away, Deputy Chief Minister C. Damodar Rajanarsimha today exhorted people of the region to get ready for statehood celebrations.
Addressing the media at CLP office here after the Assembly adjourned sine die on winding up of the debate on Telangana Draft Bill along with Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Baswaraju Saraiah and others, Rajanarsimha sought to know which capital city Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy belongs to. Speaker Nadendla Manohar and Council Chairman Chakrapani would send the T Bill to the President for tabling the bill in Parliament.
The Deputy Chief Minister said as there was neither ground nor a ball and bat to play, Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy should stop his political dramas. Rubbishing the theory that T Bill was rejected by voice vote through CM’s resolution, the Deputy CM said no force could deter the Centre from passing the bill in Parliament. “Our plan to send the T bill to President Pranab Mukherjee is complete and the Centre will certainly pass the bill within 15 days. Kiran Kumar Reddy will have to quit his post if he has any moral values”, he said, adding that though language is the same Telangana slang and culture are quite different from that of the Seemandhra region. He also alleged that Kiran was defying the Congress High Command which magnanimously installed him as CM thinking that he would be a loyal soldier of the party. Though Centre gave ample time, the Seemandhra leaders came in the way of the debate.
Coming down heavily against on Kiran for his comments that division was against Constitutional norms, Damodar asked the former to read history that Telangana was part of Indian Union. If majority was needed, Andhra Pradesh or any other state would not have formed, he added. He also criticized Kiran and Seemandhra ministers for campaigning that the both the Houses passed a resolution rejecting the bill. He took serious exception to the resolution as it lacks sanctity of Constitution. At least now, the Seemandhra leaders should stop cheating their people and instead seek what they need for the residual State of Andhra Pradesh. “Despite persistent hurdles and conspiracies by Kiran and Seemandhra leaders, we are able to complete the debate process although amid protests”, he added.
The Deputy Chief Minister said the T Bill is in the court of the Centre and the Assembly resolution will not deter Parliament to pass the bill, he said. Assembly views will be taken into consideration followed by some amendments, he added. Rajanarsimha extended gratitude to AICC Chief Sonia Gandhi, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and those parties which extended support to Telangana State. (NSS)
