The Telangana Government has sanctioned Rs 487 crore for disbursement of interest-free loans to the self-help groups.
According to informed sources, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has given nod for release of the funds. The Government also issued orders for disbursement of interest-free loans soon after the Chief Minister signed the file. He reportedly directed the officials to immediately release the funds and help the SHGs in the State.
It may be mentioned here that previous government had given similar loans to DWCRA groups in the united Andhra Pradesh. As bifurcation process of officials is yet to be completed, disbursal of loan has been delayed, sources added. (NSS)
