T people want state,not change of CM: Palvai

Telangana senior Congress leader and Rajya Sabha member Palvai Goverdhan Reddy has said that the Telangana people were not demanding the change of Chief Minister and PCC Chief, and their only wish is separate Telangana.

Speaking to the media at CLP office here on Saturday, Palvai said that both the Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and PCC Chief Botcha Sathyanarayana will continue in their positions till the 2014 elections. He said that the creation of separate Telangana State will become a reality soon. He said that the construction of Polavaram project is only for the sake of contractors and politicians, and the project will not be completed at any cost with the present design. Some engineers were giving false information to the Chief Minister with regard to Polavaram project, he said and added that the power crisis will be solved if 10 barrages were constructed across the Godavari river instead of constructing Polavaram project.

AICC secretary and MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy, at a separate press meet, has said that the change of Chief Minister will depend upon the Party high command. He said that the party leaders have to abide by whatever decision the high command takes. Stating that changes in the party were on the cards, he said that the Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy will continue in his position till 2014.
Sudhakar Reddy has said that the power crisis in the State was severe and the Centre has to extend help to the State in this regard.
