Congress MLC Yadav Reddy has demanded that all ministers from Telangana region should resign en masse from the cabinet of Kiran Kumar Reddy in protest against the decision to change the portfolio of D Sridhar Babu.
Speaking to media persons here, Yadav Reddy said that stripping the Legislative Affairs portfolio from Sridhar Babu was an insult to all people of Telangana region. He said although the Chief Minister was empowered to change the portfolios of his cabinet colleagues, but changing such a crucial portfolio at a time when the Assembly is set to debate the Telangana Bill was highly inappropriate. He said that the Chief Minister had set a wrong precedent with his actions.
Yadav Reddy said that all Telangana ministers should resign from the cabinet to register their protest. He said that the Chief Minister’s action suggests that he was indeed plannin to launch his own political party. The Congress High Command should take serious action against Kiran Kumar Reddy, he demanded. (INN)
