The Telangana Ministers who had called on the Chief Minister at the camp office on Friday in an attempt to secure permission for Sunday’s Telangana march on Tank Bund seemed to have failed in their mission.
The Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy during his two-hour discussions with the Telangana ministers, seemed to have categorically stated that there was no question of giving permission for the Telangana march top be organized on the Tank Bund on September 30. However, he had assured the ministerial delegation that if the organizers change the venue to some other place other than Tank, the state government would definitely consider granting permission.
The Deputy Chief Minister Damodar Rajanarsimha and nine other ministers including K. Jana Reddy and Sabita Indra Reddy were the T ministers who had called on the Chief Ministers. Senior Minister from the region Ponnala Laxmaiah besides the Ministers from the twin cities, Danam Nagender and Mukesh Goud were conspicuous by their absence.
Having failed in their mission with the Chief Ministers, the Telangana ministers have decided to continue their consultations with TJAC leaders and other political parties supporting the march to find a way out of the volatile situation to shift the event to some other venue or postpone it to somwe other date.
