Cutting across the party lines, the Telangana legislators united for the cause of Telangana.
The Telangana MLAs squatted in unison at the camber of Speaker N Manohar Chambers in the Assembly lobbies and shouted slogans demanding to table the bill. The Telangana leaders staged protest at the chambers for one hour.
High drama continued for some time and Telangana leaders withdrew their protest when the speaker gave an assurance that the house will resume to debate the bill. The Telangana leaders also appealed that Seemadhra leaders should extend cooperation with the Center to complete the bifurcation process.
