Telangana leaders, who returned here after Parliament passed the Telangana bill, were given warm welcome by Telangana supporters at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport here today.
Telangana Political JAC chairman Prof. Kodandaram, BJP leader Nagam Janardhan Reddy, T employees association leaders Srinivas Goud, Devi Prasad, Vittal and others arrived here. They were welcomed by Telangana supporters and were taken to the Gun Park in a procession.
After paying tributes to Telangana martyrs at Gun Park, Prof. Kodandaram and Srinivas Goud told the media that the long cherished dream of Telangana people was fulfilled. “This is a victory of Telangana people and the JAC would contribute for re-building of Telangana.
On arrival from Delhi, BJP MLA Nagam Janardhan Reddy said, “I have joined the BJP for Telangana. The people of Telangana are now breathing freely. I thank our party president Rajnath Singh and Sushma Swaraj for their contribution in the passage of the Telangana bill in Parliament.
Meanwhile, reports said TRS chief K Chandrasekhara Rao, who is camping in Delhi,was continuing his parleys whether to merge his party. (NSS)
