Dr Praveen Rao of Agriculture University today stated that atmosphere and geographical conditions of Telangana are conducive for better farm production.
Participating in a TRS Training program at Vijaya Vihar in Nagarjuna Sagar in Nalgonda district on Sunday, Praveen Rao appreciated the flagship program of Mission Kakatiya to supply adequate waters to rural farms through lakes restoration. About 60 per cent of land is useful for cultivation and there is a need to focus on the better farm practices, he said. Rao said that Mission Kakatiya will help increase ground water table as well as strengthen the system of rural water supply to crops. He offered to coordinate with concerned officials and see that the better farm practices help the farmers see rise in production. (NSS)
