T-JAC discriminating T TDP leaders: Errabelli

Hyderabad, October 17: Telugu Desam Telangana Forum convener Errabelli Dayakar Rao on Sunday slammed the Telangana Political Joint Action Committee for showing discrimination towards the TDP during the statehood agitation.

Talking to media persons at Telugu Desam Legislature Party office, Dayakar Rao alleged that the TPJAC have shown discrimination towards the TDP leaders compared to Congress leaders who repeatedly tried to water down the agitation. “The TP-JAC did not even hail the resignation of 32 TDP TDP MLAs who resigned for the cause of separate statehood,” he said.

Errabelli said that the TDP leaders were willing to join the Rail Roko agitation, it was opposed by the TPJAC members. “Why the TPJAC distanced itself from the Telangana TDP leaders?” he asked. He alleged that the TPJAC had a secret pact with the Congress party to marginalise the TDP in the region.

Claiming that the TDP leaders were more committed for the statehood cause compared to others, he alleged that the Congress leaders have repeatedly tried to sabotage the Telangana agitation, TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao failed to mount pressure on the Centre. He demanded that the TPJAC conduct a round-table conference to discuss the role of Congress party in sabotaging the statehood agitation.

Errabelli announced that the TDP would continue the statehood agitate on its own. He said the party would organised protests in front of all district Collectorates in the region on October 18.
