T issue: TRS chief hits out at TDP

Hyderabad, August 20: The war of words between TDP and TRS intensified today with the TRS president K Chandrasekhara Rao claiming the Chandrababu Naidu-led party would be wiped out in Telangana if it did not support the separate statehood demand.

“The people of Telangana have part a bitter lesson to TDP in the recent bypolls for not supporting Telangana demand if they continue their ambivalent stand on Telangana they will be wiped out in the region,” Rao said at a function where a group of TDP leaders and workers joined TRS.

TDP leader have earlier challenged Rao for a debate on what he has achieved for Telangana in the last 10 years. Criticism between the two parties is being seen as a battle for supremacy in Telangana.

The TRS president also demanded that September 17, the Hyderabad liberation day from Nizam rule, be celebrated officially.
