Information Minister, DK Aruna today said that the bifurcation process was almost over and only formalities remained.
Talking to reporters at the Assembly Lobbies, here, she said that the Centre has already kept its promise and only technicalities are being completed now. She urged the warring Seemandhra leaders to cooperate with the house to conduct the debate on Telangana Draft bill and give their opinion. Otherwise they must give their opinion in writing and help the Assembly to complete the process, she said. There is no use in staging continuous protests, and instead they must fall in line to send opinions to the Centre, she said.
Aruna exuded confidence that the house will elicit opinions of all the parties and send it to the President before the deadline of January 23. The UPA Government is determined to bifurcate the state and next general elections will be held in two states in 2014, the minister remarked.(NSS)
