T-Congress will not agree to implementation of Section 8: Jeevan Reddy

Deputy CLP leader in Assembly T Jeevan Reddy has alleged that it was due to the delaying tactics of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao that Andhra Pradesh Government succeeded in convincing the Centre to invoke Section 8 of AP Reorganisation Act.

Speaking to media persons here on Tuesday, Jeevan Reddy said that KCR should have given his nod for action against AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu in ‘Cash for Vote’ scam. Despite having sufficient evidence, the Telangana Government failed to take concrete action against Naidu. Taking advantage of the delay, Naidu conspired with the Centre to get Section 8 invoked.

Jeevan Reddy said that the Law and Order powers should vest only with the Telangana Government as there is no mention of Andhra Pradesh in Section 8. He said that the Governor should work on the directions of Telangana cabinet and he should not make any move without informing the cabinet. (INN)
