T Congress Manifesto likely today

Telangana Congress Manifesto Committee has given final touches to its much touted peoples Manifesto to woo the electors in the region going to polls on April 30. The Manifesto committee chairman and former minister D Sridhar Babu and former deputy speaker Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka completed the exercise and prepared it, according to informed sources.
The Manifesto is expected to be released on Saturday. Though TPCC chief Ponnala Lakshamaiah said Union Minister Jairam Ramesh would unveil the Manifesto, he may not be available as he is likely to go to Delhi on Friday night to make him present in another important meeting. After his Adilabad tour, Jairam participated in a similar meeting at Nalgonda. Most probably he may leave for Delhi and may not participate in the meeting to release the Telangana Congress Manifesto for the elections.
According to informed sources, the manifesto is expected to the lure the people of the region in a big way through its promises of giving at least one lakh jobs to eligible youth in each district, construction of six-lane highway from each Telangana district to Hyderabad, increasing existing number of 10 Telanagana districts to 20, construction of an airport in Warangal and Adilabad and plan to expand the same to other potential districts, free power to farmers during morning hours, setting up of 4000 MW power project in Singareni Collieries, Opening up of separate study centers for SC, ST an BC communities to enable them to compete for Groups, Civil Services examinations, sub plans for SC, ST and BCs and other sops to women and minorities. It is said that the T Congress Manifesto is to surpass that of the TRS Manifesto and woo the voters in the run up for elections. (NSS)
