T Congress leaders meetings failed: Kodanda

Telangana Political JAC Chairman Prof. Kodandaram has said that the Telangana Congress leaders’ meetings called on Friday ended in failure. Though the Telangana Congress MLAs’ meeting was organised at Panchayat Raj Minister K Jana Reddy’s residence and MPs’ meeting at former Rajya Sabha member Dr K Keshava Rao’s residence, only a few leaders turned up. Both the meetings were utter failure, Prof. Kodandaram bemoaned.

Speaking to the media here on Saturday, Prof. Kodandaram said that the JAC would mount pressure on the Telangana Congress leaders to make them chalk out an effective action plan for separate Telangana State. He said that suicides by demoralized youth of the region would come to a halt only if the Congress high command announced a positive statement on Telangana. He alleged that the Telangana Congress leaders have forgotten the assurances given to the people of the region. The main Opposition TDP too has responsibility of resolving the problems of the people of the region, he added.

Declaring that the JAC would intensify the movement, he said that it would launch first phase of ‘Udyama Yatra’ on April 10. The Yatra will begin at Cherlapally here. The movement would be intensified further from April 24, he said, adding that the Udyama Yatra would pass through Tandur, Vikarabad, Chevella (April 11), Siddipet (April 12), Nizamabad and ends at Adilabad on April 13. He also said that the JAC would organize rallies from village to district level on April 14 coinciding with Dr B R Ambedkar’s birth anniversary. (NSS)
