The Telangana Congress leaders on Tuesday challenged Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to visit any university in the State without facing protest by the students.
Speaking to media persons at Gandhi Bhavan here, former MPs Ponnam Prabhakar, Balram Naik and S Rajaiha and ex-Chief Whip Gandra Venkatramana Reddy said that KCR’s actions have angered the students community and they were too eager launch a massive agitation against the TRS Government. They said besides ignoring the education sector, KCR is now eying the lands which are in possession of different universities. They said KCR should first remove the encroachments from the government lands to implement weakers sections housing and then seek other lands.
The Congress leaders alleged that the Swachh Hyderabad programme was a publicity student aimed at gaining political mileage in the next GHMC elections.
They also ridiculed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for shooting selfies during his foreign visits. (INN)
