Telangana Congress leaders Mallu Ravi and K Mahesh today condemned the comments of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao that Nizam was a great ruler.
Speaking to mediapersons at Gandhi Bhavan here, they criticized the Chief Minister for omitting Telangana Armed Struggle and eulogizing erstwhile Nizam, whose rule was dictatorial and feudal. Accusing the Chief Minister of playing political game for Muslim votes in the ensuing GHMC elections, they said the people who fought for Telangana will be wary of this peculiar situation. They wanted to know how KCR justified Nizam’s rule which attained notoriety for butchering people and raping women in Telangana districts.
Comparing Nizam’s rule to that of British Colonial Rule, they found fault with the Chief Minister for praising such rulers, who stripped Telangana women and forced them to play Bathukamma in Nalgonda district. People will not hesitate to launch another revolt against the TRS Government if KCR failed to mend his policies, they warned. (NSS)
