T-Congress demands dismissal of AP, TS Governments

The Telangana Congress leaders on Thursday demanded that President of India Pranab Mukherjee dismiss both TDP Government in Andhra Pradesh and TRS Government in Telangana to end the ongoing dispute between them over the ‘Cash for Vote’ case.

Addressing a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan here, HUDA’s ex-Chairman D Sudhir Reddy, former MLA Srisailam Goud and Ranga Reddy DCC President Kyama Mallesh said that the Centre should intervene to resolve the ongoing tussle between the two Chief Ministers. They alleged that both K Chandrashekar Rao and N Chandrababu Naidu have been trying to provoke the people of both the issues to achieve their selfish political goals. In this scenario, the Centre should dismiss both the governments and call for fresh elections.

They strongly condemned the statements issues by both KCR and Naidu and said use of language by both the Chief Ministers does not suit their stature. He said that the politics of blackmail and intimidation would badly hurt the democracy.

They also alleged that KCR has been trying to hush-up the case so as to induct his daughter and Nizamabad MP in the Union Cabinet. For the same reasons, the ACB did not register a case against Naidu, they alleged. They said that both the Chief Ministers have encouraged defections in their respective States and a CBI probe should be ordered against both of them. (INN)
