CPI general secretary Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy and State unit leader Chada Venkat Reddy today alleged that the Congress has created confusion on seat sharing and alliance with their party.
Talking to mediapersons here, they said the Congress should immediately resolve the issue on allocation of tickets and sharing of seats, “lest it will lose our votes in Parliamentary segment. If they resolve the issue we will campaign together”, they said. They also flayed Telangana Congress Chief Ponnala Lakshmaiah for giving B Form to Malreddy Ranga Reddy from Maheswaram where CPI leader Aziz Pasha is contesting. Though the CPI got Maheswaram, Munugodu and Yellampally Assembly segments, the Congress failed to avoid confusion, they said.
“We roped in our former MP Aziz Pasha from Maheswaram segment but still the Congress is yet to take a decision on withdrawing Malreddy Ranga Reddy from the fray who got B form. Lakshmaiah stated he would take the issue to the notice of their high command and take suitable decision soon. The Congress has suspended a few rebel candidates in the fray including Palvai Sravanthi, daughter of Palvai Goverdhan Reddy contesting as an independent for Munugodu segment. We are awaiting their action as there is some more time, he said. (NSS)
