Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president N Uttam Kumar Reddy has urged Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to oppose the Land Acquisition Bill of the Central Government.
Speaking to media persons after chairing a review meeting with the senior Congress leaders at Gandhi Bhavan on Tuesday, Uttam Kumar Reddy appealed to the Chief Minister to ask all TRS MPs to oppose the Bill as it was against the interest of farmers. He also informed that all Congress leaders would participate in the farmers’ rally being organised by the Congress party in New Delhi on April 19.
The review meeting was also attended by senior leaders including D Srinivas, Mallu Bhatti Vikaramarka, Mohammed Ali Shabbir, Dr J Geetha Reddy, D Sridhar Babu and others. (INN)
