T-Congress accuses BJP Govt of implementing “Hindutva” agenda

The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee on Saturday alleged that the BJP Government at the Centre was implementing the “Hindutva” agenda across the country.

In a media statement, TPCC Secretary Mohd Saleem said that the BJP Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi was backing the forced conversions in several parts of the country. At one side, Narendra Modi is misleading the masses on the plank of development. On the other, the organisations like RSS, Bajrang Dal, Vishwa Hindu Parishad and other outfits affiliated with the Sangh Parivar are implementing their hidden agenda of saffronisation, he alleged. He alleged that the recent conversions in Agra were just the tip of the iceberg.

Saleem said that the Prime Minister has absolutely no control over his party MPs who have been issuing controversial statements one after the other. He alleged that the BJP was trying to flare up communal tension only to divert people’s attention from the failures of Central Government. “Faith is the not a commodity like tomato or potato, which can be sold or purchased at the market price. It relates deep into the heart of one’s with the soul and has direct connection with God Allah. A Muslim cannot be lured with the money, even if he is paid Rs. 500 crores for conversion. He will prefer to die rather than turning away from Allah under any circumstances,” he said.

“If the Prime Minister’s intentions are good, then he should immediately ban RSS and other outfits of Sangh Parivar for their indulgence in activities like ‘Ghar Vapsi’ or ‘Samasya’. Else, he should resign owning moral responsibility for his failure to stop forced conversions,” the TPCC Secretary said. (INN)
