Hyderabad, September 03: The Telangana Congress Monitoring Group Convenor and APCC general secretary, Mr Rapolu Ananda Bhaskar, has said that a delegation of party leaders is leaving for New Delhi to apprise the party High Command of the Telangana movement and sentiments of the people for separate State, from September 3 to 5.
The 72-member delegation, led by the APCC general secretary and Telangana Monitoring Group chairman, Mr G. Niranjan, paid homage to Telangana martyrs at Gun Park on Thursday before leaving for New Delhi. Mr Ananda Bhaskar has said that they would organize a three-day hunger strike at Janthar Manthar in New Delhi. They would also submit memoranda to the Union ministers of Water Resources, Finance and Home as well as the party high command on Telangana agitation and desire of the people of the region.
Accompanied by a cultural troupe, the delegation of Congress leaders left for New Delhi by Duranto Express from Secunderabad today.
