Congress senior leader and former union minister Balram Naik on Wednesday claimed that the dismissal of former Deputy Chief Minister Dr T Rajaiah from the State cabinet was part of a larger political conspiracy.
Speaking to media persons at Gandhi Bhavan here, Balram Naik said Dr Rajaiah was sacked from the cabinet only to accommodate Warangal MP Kadiam Srihari in the State cabinet. Again, Kadiam did not get the post of Deputy Chief Minister as a promotion. But he was shifted to State politics to clear the way for Nizamabad MP and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s daugther K Kavitha to join the Union Cabinet.
Balram Naik said Kavitha would not have got a chance to become a Union Minister in the presence of a senior MP like Kadiam Srihari. Therefore, Kadiam was tactically made to resign as MP and then KCR proceeded with his plans to get closer to the BJP-led NDA Government. He alleged that KCR made a Dalit leader like Rajaiah a scapegoat to make his daughter a minister in the Central cabinet. (INN)
