Four Telangana Congress MPs have met secretly here at Peddapally MP G Vivek’s residence on Monday. Nagarkurnool MP Dr Manda Jagannadam, Karimnagar MP Ponnam Prabhakar, Warangal MP S Rajaiah and former Rajya Sabha MP Dr K Keshava Rao participated in the meeting. Interesting thing is Vivek was in his constituency and hence he didn’t participate in the meeting though it was held at his residence.
It is learnt that these MPs have discussed on the issue of joining of TRS party from 6 AM to 8 AM. In the meeting, Manda Jagannadam has expressed his inclination to join the TRS party. Keshava Rao has also expressed the same view stating that there was no alternative for him than joining TRS party in case the Centre failed to solve the Telangana issue. Ponnam advised that it was better to wait some time to take a final decision on this issue, it is learnt.
On the other hand, Nizamabad MP Madhu Yashki Goud was not interested to join TRS party and he wants to remain in the Congress party. Ponnam was also not interested to join TRS. Manda Jagannadam wanted to join TRS before April 27 after getting himself suspended from the Parliament on April 22.
Komatireddy brothers were in a dilemma on joining another party. They were inclined to join either TRS or YSRCP depending upon the situation. Nalgonda MP Gutha Sukhender Reddy was also planning to follow the Komatireddy brothers, it is learnt.
