Hyderabad, September 27: Congress MLA R Damodar Reddy on Monday announced that the Congress MLAs from the Telangana region would submit their resignations en masse on October 2, if the Centre failed to announce its decision on Telangana by this month end.
Talking to media persons, Damodar Reddy said that all the elected representatives from the region have decided to take harsh decisions for the cause of Telangana statehood if the Centre fails to announce its decision on the issue. He said the representatives were ready to submit resignations afresh from their posts to mount pressure on the Centre. He demanded that the High Command take an immediate decision on the issue without further delay.
Damodar Reddy demanded that the state government immediately withdraw showcause notices served on the employees, who participated in the Telangana agitation. He also demanded that the RTC reinstate contract drivers and conductors immediately withdrawing their termination orders. He warned of serious consequences if the government fails to withdraw show-cause notices on employees.
