Hyderabad, October 28: Congress MLAs from the Telangana region would meet on Friday to discuss and finalise the future course of action to achieve statehood for the region.
Talking to reporters after meeting Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy at Assembly premises here on Thursday, Aliar MLA Bhikshamaiah said that the meeting would be held at Central Hall Court in Lakdi-ka-pul on Friday. He said the conference would discuss strategy to be adopted to take forward the statehood agitation forward and ways to mount pressure on the Congress High Command.
Bhikshamaiah said that the meeting would also be attended by those who resigned for cause of statehood including Komatreddy Venkat Reddy and Jupalli Krishna Rao. He also denied the rumours of Telangana leaders have differences with the members of Telangana Steering Committee.
In the wake of employees calling off 42 days general strike, the MLAs are likely to discuss the ways of continuing the agitation in collaboration with other pro-Telangana parties and leaders.
