T Cong expels 12 rebels, Palvai sravanti also in the list

Telangana Congress disciplinary committee today finally expelled 12 of the 17 rebel candidates from the party for anti party activities , according to information. Senior Congress leader and Rajya Sabha member Palvai Goverdhan Reddy’s daughter P Sravanthi (contesting as an independent from Munugodu Assembly segment in Nalgonda district which was given to CPI leader Aziz Pasha as part of poll time alliance, was among the expelled. Despite Union Minister Jairam Ramesh warning, Sravanthi failed to withdraw and is in the fray as an independent which led to the action.
The candidates expelled for six years are: Amina Khan (Adilabad), Shankar (Bellampally), Koushik Hari (Ramagundam), J Narsinga Rao (Kortutla), Arunathara (Jukkal), Kasim Khan (Yakhutpura), Sugurappa (Makthal), K Narayan Reddy (Kalwakurthy), Malreddy Ramreddy (Ibrahimpatnam), P Sravanthi (Munugodu), Lakshminarayan Naik (Palakurthy) and Bhim Rao (Hujurabad).(NSS)
