Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav today charged the BJP Telangana leaders with playing communal politics.
Participating in developmental works in Karimnagar, Talasani alleged that the BJP was making deliberate attempts against the BC-E reservations for the Muslims in Telangana. The State government passed the Bill in this regard during a special session though the BJP opposed it, he said.
While Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during BJP meeting at Odisha said his government would focus on backwardness of the Muslims, the Telangana BJP leaders were making a hue and cry over enhancement of Muslim quota, he charged. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, after a thorough study has taken a decision to hike the reservations for STs and Muslims on their socio-economic conditions to improve their lot, he added.
Though the BJP leaders in the State are coming in the way only for political mileage, he flayed the Opposition parties for their ridiculous remarks against the government. Those who are not attending the Assembly session were making comments, he said.
The minister said the State Government was implementing various welfare schemes and development programs which no other State has done, he said. Yadav remarked that the KCR Government has waived off Rs 17000 cr towards crop loan waiver giving a big relief to the farmers. He listed out that development works going on like two bedroom to poor, irrigation projects, land to the Dalits, pensions, national highways, state highways and others. The Congress is coming in the way of development by filing false cases against the irrigation projects, he charged. Srinivas Yadav also said that the Congress senior leader Jeevan Reddy agreed to have filed the false cases in the Assembly, he said. Despite opposition efforts to stall the works the government will go ahead with its agenda for welfare and growth he remarked.(NSS)
