T Ball in Central Court, T leaders for delhi on Feb 3

Now that the Telangana Bill is thrown into court of the Center leaders for and against bifurcation are looking at Delhi for further constitutional procedures to be adopted by the Center. Even as the Center reiterated that it will introduce the Telangana bill in Parliament probably on February 7 or 8 during Parliament session, Telangana Ministers and legislators are leaving for national capital on February 3. While annoyed Seemandhra leaders huddled today with Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy at Camp office this evening. They are understood to have formulating a future course of action. While T leaders including Deputy Chief Minister D Raja Narasimha, K Jana Reddy, Ponnala Lakshmaiah, Sridhar Babu and others are on cloud nine as statehood will be a reality soon in February second week.

Aiming at impressing upon the Center to expedite the process of bifurcation, the elated T leaders are in no mood to leave any chance to their Seemandhra peers who are also planning a similar effort against the bill. According to reliable sources, the T leaders will call on party bosses in Delhi and appeal President Pranab Mukherjee, UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to pass the bill in Parliament without any further delay.

The CM and his close associates are ‘pretending’ to stop the process of bifurcation. They may leave for Delhi in February just before the Group of Ministers meeting on February 4 to discuss on Telangana issue. The CM is said to be roping in a prominent legal expert to put hurdles against the bill by challenging it in Supreme Court. Despite inviting wrath from all quarters and within, Kiran dared that he will quit politics if the Center introduces the same bill given to the Assembly in Parliament. It is pertinent to note that AICC state affairs in charge Digvijay Singh maintained that the Center will seize of the T bill and resolution rejecting it will not have any say. The Parliament will pass the bill probably in February second week, he added.

On the other hand the Seemandhra leaders planning to meet them and urge against the introduction of the bill in the parliament. Their argument is that the Parliament cannot take up the bill rejected by the Assembly and Council. (NSS)
