T auto drivers to protest against OLA tomorrow

Telangana Auto Drivers’ JAC today said it would hold a protest meeting at Basheerbagh here on February 28 demanding arrest of OLA Auto Management for fixing Auto Fare at Rs 29 for 4 km i.e. Rs 7.25 per km as against Rs 11 per km fixed by the State government.

The TADJAC also demanded that the State government share 50% of the Auto third party insurance charges and bale out the poor auto men. It also demanded withdrawal of heavy increase in RTA- Fee structure, a total ban on diesel-run cabs in the twin cities, fixation of Ola and Uber cab rates and stoppage of extra fare collection from travelers in the name of “surge pricing”. The meeting will also discuss and chalk out a course of agitation for arrest of Ola management among other things.

 

In a pressnote here today, TADJAC convener Mohd Amanullah Khan, leaders K Laxmi Narsaiah and M.A. Saleem appealed to the Auto drivers in the twin cities to participate in the protest meeting in large numbers and make it a big success. (NSS)
