Telangana Government is mulling options to conduct first Budget session from this month end if not in November. According to information Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is planning to conduct the budget session from Oct 20 for about one month with three days of holidays for Deepavali festival in the last week.
The CM is planning to prepare the MLAs and MLCs on the Assembly proceedings through training classes to be conducted shortly. The CM is learnt to have informed this to ministers, MLAs and MLCs at the Assembly meeting after paying tributes to Mahatma Gandhi on the premises. It is likely that the TRS will hold a plenary in LB Stadium on Oct 11 followed by a Public Meeting at Parade Grounds on 12 to be addressed by the CM himself. About 500 teams will be pressed into districts to campaign on Harithavanam scheme and other welfare schemes and developmental programs being taken up by the government. The CM is understood to have indicated that they can go in for conducting the Budget session from Oct 20 instead of choosing November. Since delay is giving wrong signals, though the TRS Government is gearing up for the session with all schemes and programs, it is being thought among the TRS leaders to hold the session from October third week. It is likely that the TRS Government may conduct the session four weeks and pass the budget. The CM said that they will have to take up on war footing the programs such as Telangana Water Grid, Restoration of water bodies and lakes and “Harithavanam” to attract more rains by increasing greenery by planting 230 cr saplings in all villages of 10 Telangana districts. Besides strengthening the police force with all equipment to prevail peace and tranquility in the state, the focus on the schemes should be such that the world should watch the TS, KCR is said to have opined.
