T, AP moves to Delhi for power

The constant power clash between AP and Telangana is all set to be discussed at a high-powered meeting scheduled to be taken up in New Delhi on Monday. The meeting will be presiding over by the chairperson of the Central Electricity Authority (CEA) Neerja Mathur.

According to CEA sources, officials of power utilities from both the states, including those from all the generation companies, discoms and transmission companies of the two states.

Apart from this, officials of power ministries of both the states are expected to participate in the meeting to be headed by the CEA chairperson.

According to sources, the key power-related issues such as the power purchase agreements (PPA), which have been the stumbling block between AP and Telangana, are expected to be discussed in the meeting.

Besides, power sharing from projects such as the Sileru Power Generation Project located on the Andhra-Odisha Border in Visakhapatnam district, Vizagbased Hinduja National Power Corporation Limited (HNPCL) and Krishnapatnam Thermal Power Project will be taken up at the meeting.
