High Court Bar Association-Telangana has made it clear that it will not withdraw strike till their demands were met.

The Bar Association members on Monday met Governor ESL Narsimhan at Raj Bhavan and apprised him of the situation. Speaking to the media later, Bar Association president Gandra Mohan Rao said the Governor asked them to withdraw their strike. He said the strike will not be withdrawn untill their demands were conceded. He said they submitted a memorandum to the Governor explaining about the injustice meted out to the Telangana judicial officers, lawyers and employees. They urged the Governor to solve their problems. He said the Association made it clear to the Governor that they would resume duties only after getting clear assurance.

On the other hand, tension prevailed at VIII Metropolitan Megistrate’s Court at Upperpally, Rajender Nagar when the lawyers staged protest on the Court premises against the suspension of Telangana Judges. They obstructed the entry of the Judges and raised slogans. The agitators jostled with police when the latter tried to disperse the lawyers. (NSS)
