Several advocates were taken into custody at Meerpet here when they attempted to disrupt the examination being conducted for appointment of junior civil judges.
While the examination for filling of vacant posts of junior civil judges began at 10 am, the atmosphere turned tense with the Telangana advocates obstructing the examination demanding that the test be kept in abeyance till the Hyderabad High Court was bifurcated. The government had set up examination centers at Hyderabad, Warangal, Tirupati, Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada and 8,000 candidates are writing the examination for 97 posts of junior civil judge.
Fearing that Telangana advocates might obstruct the examination, the authorities allowed the candidates to enter the examination hall from 8.30 am. The examination was scheduled to be held from 10 am to 2 pm.
