Syria, February 19: Idlib’s Attorney General Nidal Ghazal, Judge Mohammed Ziyadeh and their driver were killed on Sunday while they were heading to work, Syrian Arab News Agency reported.
The terrorists opened fire at the vehicle near Hussam Hijazi school at al-Dabeitt neighborhood.
The province of Idlib has emerged as one of the hotbeds of armed insurgency against the Syrian government forces.
Syria has been experiencing unrest since mid-March 2011.
Hundreds of people, including many Syrian security forces, have been killed in the course of the turmoil.
Damascus blames “outlaws, saboteurs and armed terrorist groups” for the unrest, insisting that it is being orchestrated from abroad. The West and the Syrian opposition, however, accuse the government of killing the protesters.
