To avail the subsidy given by the central government it is obligatory for all citizens to open saving bank accounts linked with Aadhar cards as the direct cash transfer (DCT) scheme is all set to be implemented for several government schemes from January 1. The amount of subsidy will be directly transferred to beneficiaries’ bank accounts. The Jahanuma locality in the old city and some other wards have been allotted to Syndicate Bank.
Syndicate Bank is organizing special camps on Sunday December 23, at Tigal Kunta, Jahanuma Play Ground and Bagh Amjadudaula. Residents of Jahanuma who don’t have saving accounts can benefit from the camps so that they can avail the Direct Cash Transfer Scheme to begin from January 1, 2013.
