Noted educational and social worker, Mr. Syed Hameeduddin (70) passed away last night. He was ailing for some time. He was undergoing treatment in Lazaras Hospital, Lakdikapul. He was an actively associated with various educational and welfare programmes of Siasat since 2000. The service rendered by him is unforgettable. Mr. Hameeduddin offered his services after the communal riots of Gujarat which occurred in 2002. He played a pivotal role in the training programmes organized by Minority Development Forum for recruitments in Police Dept.
After the Gujarat riots, he actively organized, physical training programmes for the Muslim youths to ensure their entry in police service. He used to organize BUMCET every year and used to encourage the youths. He was associated with many associations.
Mr. Zahid Ali Khan, Editor of Siasat expressed his deep sense of grief over his demise and termed it as his personal loss. He said that he was like a family member of Siasat Institution. He had taken the responsibility of almost all the welfare activities organized by Siasat.
Mr. Zaheeruddin Ali Khan, Managing Editor of Siasat termed his demise as a great loss to Muslim ummah and also his personal loss. He said that in his demise he lost one of his trustworthy companions who was helpful in all his welfare activites.
His last prayer will be held after Zohar in Masjid Fatima, Vattepally. He will be buried at his native place in Medak.
