In view of road blockage called by Telangana Joint Action Committee, state administration had imposed section 144 under prohibitory orders on the national highway since midnight of Wednesday. Heavy APSP force including para military forces were deployed at every cross road as a precautionary measure.
Former MP Rajya Sabha Syed Aziz Pasha told that despite promises by union minister Sushil Kumar Shinde and former minister Chidambaram for Telangana formation, Telangana supporters were stopped from using their democratic right by the police by deploying heavy force.
He warned against use of force to weaken Telangana movement and claimed that CPI will continue its protest till Telangana formation. Police arrested more than 60 Telangana protagonists.
