Shimla, December 22: The body of a Swiss national was found from a house in Himachal Pradesh’s Kullu district, police said Tuesday.
The body of Martin Karl, a Swiss national, was found from a house near Manikaran, 60 km from district headquarters town Kullu early Tuesday morning, Superintendent of Police (Kullu) K.K. Indoria told.
He said that Karl, 59, was staying as a paying guest for the past many days.
“The Swiss national was carrying multi-purpose visa. Two sachets of ‘charas’ (cannabis) were recovered from his room,” he said.
The Swiss embassy in New Delhi has been informed, the police official said.
Manikaran, a famous tourist spot for hot water sulphur springs and a Sikh shrine, is some 300 kms from state capital Shimla.
