Los Angeles: Stars of Swedish House Mafia have blamed a hacker for the posting of inappropriate images of Miley Cyrus on their Facebook page.
Dance DJs Steve Angello, Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso disbanded the group in 2013, but its official social networking pages remain online.
Fans began speculating about a possible reunion earlier this week when the header photo on Swedish House Mafia’s Facebook page was updated, but they were left puzzled when a series of explicit posts about Cyrus’ sexually-charged Milky Milky Milk Tour appeared on the band’s profile.
Devotees shared their concerns about a possible hack with the former Swedish House Mafia members online and the inappropriate posts were promptly deleted.
A member of Swedish House Mafia took to the group’s Twitter page and confirmed its cyber security had been compromised.
“Our facebook was hacked. Someone must have been bored,” the post read.
The DJs have yet to comment on the Swedish House Mafia reunion speculation.
