Swathi Lakra, IPS, Addl. Commissioner of Police, Crimes & SIT has been made In-charge of Bonalu bandobust arrangements in South Zone.
A 3000-strong police force, including five Addl. DCPs/Addl. SPs, 21 DSPs and 67 Inspectors, 110 Sis, two RAF will be deployed in bandobust arrangements for the safely and security of the public and to maintain Law & Order in the Old. City. There are 247 temples, 170 police pickets, including 67 main strategic points of main procession route from Laldarwaza Simhavahini Mahakali Temple to Puranapool. The main procession will start from the Akkanna-Madanna temple at 4 pm on August 1 and 23 Ummadi Devalayala processions would join the main procession and conclude by 10.30 pm. On the main procession route, about 300 CCTV Cameras are being installed. Twenty She Teams and five CSG Teams will be in operation in the main procession route and other important locations from July 31 to August 1. (NSS)
