New Delhi:Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Swati Maliwal on Monday took charge as the Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) chief.
Maliwal, who is an RTI activist and also the youngest member of India Against Corruption, succeeds Barkha Shukla.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has drawn sharp criticism from the Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for appointing Maliwal, who is the wife of AAP leader Naveen Jaihind, as the DCW chief.(ANI)
