Mumbai, July 11: Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Sushma Swaraj today paid homage to the victims of the 7/11 serial train blasts in Mumbai and said government was “inert” in its response in the aftermath of terror attacks.
“After every such incident, three promises are made: culprits won’t be spared, strongest action will be taken, and victims will be rehabilitated and compensated… but none of these promises were fulfilled here,” she said.
Swaraj was speaking at a function organised by local BJP unit to mark the fourth anniversary of deadly blasts which killed 187 people.
“Fifteen conspirators behind the blasts are still absconding. Red corner notices have been issued in the case of only four of them… the trial has started only now,” Swaraj pointed out.
“This government is completely inert… it lacks sensitivity,” she added.
