New Delhi: Taking forward the India-Africa Forum Summit, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj will hold bilateral meetings with her African counterparts on Tuesday.
Ministry of External Affairs’ spokesman Vikas Swarup on Monday said “EAM Swaraj will start having bilateral meetings with her counterparts from various African nations 12noon onward at at Indira Gandhi Sports Complex, while Minister of State for External Affairs Gen VK Singh (retd) will inaugurate a business exhibition at 11am there.”
Meanwhile, Chief Coordinator of the Summit Syed Akbaruddin said, “As many as 56 representatives will participate in the meeting of the heads of African nations when the Prime Minster takes the floor on October 29.”
“This summit will be gathering of representatives of every African country and India, which is unprecedented in the annals of any summit between Africa and any other country. And, we are confident that every country and institution invited would be present for the summit,” he added.
