New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Subramanian Swamy on Saturday stated that the litigant who argued in the Supreme Court that the Babri Masjid in Ayodhya was demolished by ‘Hindu Taliban’ was uncultured and a hater of Hindus.
Speaking to ANI, Swamy said, “The person who is arguing today, he is a person who is a hater of Hindus; he was brought up by English money in London; he foams in the mouth, and you can say he is totally uncultured.”
“I’m not surprised that he doesn’t care about putting ‘Hindu’ and ‘Taliban’ together (in a sentence), and to pollute the issue of the Ram Temple like this, I think it deserves to be condemned by everybody,” Swamy added.
According to media reports, the litigant arguing in the Babri Masjid-Ram Temple land dispute case in the Supreme Court on Friday said that like the Buddha Statue in Afghanistan’s Bamiyan was destroyed by the Taliban, ‘Hindu Taliban’ had demolished the Babri Masjid in Ayodhya.
The litigant also stated that there is no provision in the Constitution or any law that allows the demolition of religious structures of any faith.
