Chennai, March 21: Janata Party president Subramanian Swamy today demanded a thorough probe into the death of Sadik Batcha, a close aide of former Telecom Minister A Raja, who had allegedly committed suicide last week, expressing doubt if the body on which the autopsy had been conducted was that of Batcha.
“There is something fishy. There are doubts that the body itself was that of Batcha’s,” Swamy told PTI.
Swamy, who is fighting a legal battle on the 2G spectrum allocation scam, also demanded for a thorough probe into the entire episode.
38 year-old Batcha, Managing Director of Green House Promoters, which was under the scanner of CBI and Enforcement Directorarte (ED), was found hanging from his house last week.
His wife Rekha Bhanu had alleged that Batcha had taken to the step ‘unable to cope up with the pressure of CBI probe.
