Panchkula, Haryana, January 13: Terror accused Swami Assemanand was on Thursday sent to judicial custody till 28 January by a court here.
Assemanand was produced in court by the National Investigating Agency (NIA) at end of the period for which they were granted his custody.
As per reports, the NIA seeked remand of Aseemanand, who runs Shabri Dham ashram in Dang district of Gujarat, to extensively question him over his role in the 2007 Samjhauta train blasts.
Importantly, the Ministry of Home Affairs has reportedly asked for a setting up of a coordination mechanism between the NIA, CBI and the Rajasthan ATS to ensure better sharing of information related to the case.
